Space Flight Safety Analysis
We plan to provide a demonstration of Astrion's Space Flight Safety Analysis software tools that are available to support commercial launch providers. We intend to focus on our two primary tool suites. The first is the Operaltional Risk and Containment Analyzer (ORCA). It is a risk & hazard assessment tool suite designed to support high fidelity analysis and visualization of hazard areas for land populations, vessels at sea, and aircraft in flight resulting from debris generated by normal and malfunction flight of launch vehicles, hypersonic and uninhabited aerial system testing, and reentering spacecraft. We are pursing FAA Safety Element Approval to ensure this tool meets the stringent requirements necessary to support launch and reentry licensing under 14 CFR Part 450. We also intend to demonstrate our Flight Safety Analyst Workstation Software (FAWS) tool suite that allows for the design, development, and validation of Autonomous Flight Safety System (AFSS) Mission Rules – enabling a vehicle to take appropriate termiante or safe actions when needed. This provides commercial launch providers with a valuable capability to assist complinace with the mandated use of AFSS for commercial launches from USSF ranges.
