As humans move from short-duration missions toward sustained presence in orbit, on the Moon, and eventually Mars, the challenge shifts from simply surviving in space to truly thriving there.

In this master class, Amy Gregory, Professor of Space Tourism Programming & Initiatives at UCF, will explore what it means to create a viable “hospitality ecosystem” in space - including food systems, habitat design, comfort, mental health, recreation, and long-term quality of life. She’ll examine how human-centered design, psychology, culture, and service models must evolve to support people living and working off Earth for extended periods of time.

This session looks beyond engineering and infrastructure to the human experience of space, and what it will take to support not just missions, but communities - laying the groundwork for a future where space is not just a place we go, but a place where people can live, work, and eventually raise families.
