Novaeka and Spaceport America Formalize Partnership at Commercial Space Week 2026

Novaeka and Spaceport America Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Advance Modular Ground Support Systems for Future Space Operations

Padua, Italy & Truth or Consequences, New Mexico — January 29 2026

Novaeka Srl, an Italian aerospace engineering company specializing in advanced ground systems and propulsion test infrastructure, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the New Mexico Spaceport Authority, operator of Spaceport America, the FAA-licensed inland spaceport located in New Mexico.

The MOU establishes a non-binding framework for technical collaboration aimed at exploring, developing, and demonstrating rapid, modular Ground Support Equipment (GSE) concepts that can support future launch and aerospace operations.

Under the agreement, Novaeka and Spaceport America will collaborate through technical exchanges, concept demonstrations, workshops, and design reviews focused on modular, flexible ground systems aligned with evolving spaceport operational needs. The collaboration is intended to support innovation in launch infrastructure while fostering knowledge exchange between European and U.S. aerospace ecosystems.

Novaeka will contribute its engineering expertise in fluidic systems, aerospace ground support equipment, simulation tools, and prototyping methodologies. Spaceport America will provide operational context, facility insights, and logistical perspectives to inform design considerations and potential use cases.

“This MOU represents an important opportunity for Novaeka to collaborate with one of the most forward-looking spaceports in the United States,” said Marino Moro, CEO of Novaeka. “By working closely with Spaceport America, we can explore how modular and rapidly deployable ground systems can support future launch operations and emerging space technologies.”

The MOU does not constitute a procurement commitment or endorsement of products or services. Any future commercial engagement would be subject to separate agreements and applicable competitive procurement processes.

“Spaceport America is committed to fostering innovation and enabling new technologies that support the growth of the aerospace industry,” said Scott McLaughlin, Executive Director of the New Mexico Spaceport Authority. “This collaboration with Novaeka allows us to explore new concepts in modular ground support infrastructure that could benefit future users of the spaceport.”

The agreement will remain in effect for one year and may be renewed by mutual written consent.

About Spaceport America

Spaceport America is the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport and an FAA-licensed launch facility operated by the New Mexico Spaceport Authority. The spaceport supports vertical and horizontal launch, testing, and advanced aerospace operations for commercial, governmental, and research users.

Situated on 18,000 acres adjacent to the U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range in southern New Mexico, Spaceport America features a rocket-friendly environment of 6,000 square miles of restricted airspace, low population density, a 12,000-foot by 200-foot runway, vertical launch complexes, and about 340 days of sunshine and low humidity.

Some of the most respected companies in the commercial space industry are tenants at Spaceport America: Virgin Galactic, HAPSMobile/ AeroVironment, UP Aerospace, SpinLaunch, Swift Engineering, Prismatic Ltd., a subsidiary of BAE Systems, and Hermeus.
