David Schleeper
I graduated with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Aerospace Engineering from Old Dominion University. I have worn multiple hats of the span of my career, which includes shipbuilding, the naval nuclear program, 2 Kelvin Cryogenic plant design, marine engineering and aerospace ground support equipment. Projects have included nuclear fuel shipment, radiological tooling, CFD for subsurface manuevering, pressurized cryogenic vessels, vacuum systems, engine testing and heat exchanger sizing. I currently work for RS&H, an A&E firm specializing in the aerospace industry where I manage the designs of propellant piping systems, lift fixtures, tooling, spaceport planning, lightning protection and environmentally controlled payload enclosures, among many others. It is my professional goal to merge these different portions of my career to enable Space Nuclear Systems to launch regularly, safely and quickly from US soil to advance our national colonization and exploration targets.
