Developing a new blended moderator/fuel particle reactor design for OSD A&S OECIF. Hardware focused program will provide a "leap frog" approch for space power. Assisted USSF Space Futures and A&S in developing nuclear roadmap. Assisting NASA in their Nuclear Thermal Rocket (NTR) program development. Onsite, daily direct support for SAF/AQR MilDep.  One of the founding members of the Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile (HACM) program. Deputy Program Manager for the classified program called TIMBERWIND. This $400+M program was mostly declassified and called the Space Nuclear Thermal Propulsion (SNTP) program. The program (HEU) was developed to provide the US with ground-based, boost-phase intercept of Soviet ICBM’s from CONUS, using a nuclear rocket-powered upper stage and a Lightweight Exo-Atmospheric Projectile (LEAP). Directed and interfaced with multiple contractors, government agencies, and various committees and individuals within the US Congress. Involved in two Defense Science Board Studies, both of which gave the program and its management high marks. We designed (from a napkin), built and tested a new reactor in 18 months. This reactor is still available for use a Cx point of departure for testing components and systems. Involved in Nuclear Element Testing (NET) in the Sandia Developed with team the only open-air nuclear thermal rocket test facility including an environmental impact statement (EIS). Awarded NASA's highest civilian award, the Distinguished Public Service Medal.
