Vice President, Business Development, Launch Support Services, Space Prep
Les Lake serves as Space Prep Vice President of Business Development for Launch Support Services, responsible for growing lines of business for launch support and crafting high value solutions for new business opportunities space, software, IT, and engineering services. Mr. Lake was formerly a senior manager at Teledyne Brown Engineering, RS&H, and Raytheon, with extensive experience in ground operations for space launch vehicles and payloads, designing ground operations facilities, and developing market strategies for aerospace products and services. Before departing NASA to join the commercial industry, Mr. Lake completed a 21-year history at KSC where he served as a core member of a High Performance Organization (HPO), supporting large shuttle infrastructure projects. He also supported the NASA Shuttle program office with development and execution of the yearly Program Operating Plan for ground operations projects. He is a certified Site Test Conductor and has led several iconic projects at KSC, including the Shuttle Launch Simulation and major revitalization projects in the Vehicle Assembly Building and Launch Complex 39 Pads A and B. Mr. Lake holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics and a Master of Science degree in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is also a graduate of the Raytheon Program Management College.
