Mark Lester
Mark Lester is a leading authority in aerospace and defense with over 30 years of experience across public and private sectors, specializing in spaceport development and operations. A pioneer in commercial spaceport operations, Mark led the FAA-licensed Pacific Spaceport Complex-Alaska to revenue independence and advanced global launch operations for a commercial provider. His career began as a U.S. Air Force officer in space operations and intelligence. Currently, Head of Aerospace Strategy at Merrick & Company, Mark drives growth and aligns capabilities with emerging mission priorities. He holds engineering and space operations degrees and is pursuing a doctorate at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a research focus on spaceport management and operations.
