Nick Case serves as the Manager of the Partnerships & Opportunity Development Office (POD) Office at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), where he leads strategy and execution for partnership development across both Civil Space and National Security domains. Under his leadership, Marshall has reinforced its role as the Agency’s leading center for partnerships with commercial space companies.
With over 19 years of experience at NASA, Nick is a recognized subject matter expert in domestic and foreign launch vehicles, as well as propulsion system design, development, and testing. He has held key leadership roles across propulsion test operations, strategic planning, and business development, helping to integrate technical capabilities with national and commercial priorities.
In his current role, Nick serves as the "front door" for new business opportunities at MSFC, guiding the formation of strategic collaborations that leverage NASA’s world-class expertise, capabilities, and facilities. His responsibilities include investment management, technology gap resolution, commercialization initiatives, and execution of Space Act Agreements.
Previously, he led the Propulsion Test Branch where he managed critical test campaigns for next-generation launch systems. He also served as Senior Technical Assistant to the MSFC Office of the Director and Transition Manager for the Partnerships Office, where he helped reshape the organization to better meet emerging challenges and opportunities.
