Ramesh Kumar V is the Co‑Founder & CEO of Grahaa Space, a Bengaluru‑based spacetech startup building a constellation of nanosatellites for near real‑time, high‑resolution Earth-observation video streaming. A graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University and holding an MBA from Manipal University, he combines engineering excellence with strong business acumen. Before venturing into spacetech, Ramesh spent years with IBM India, Techrupa Pte. Ltd., and Dell International Services where he honed expertise in tech development, operations, and analytics theorg.com. Over a 16-year entrepreneurial journey, he's founded three startups (two in India, one in Singapore), cumulatively generating over half a million dollars in revenue. An active researcher, Ramesh has co-authored more than 30 technical papers on topics such as spacecraft mass reliability, Mars and Ceres mission architectures, and nanosatellite communications. He has also co-authored five technical textbooks that are used in distance-learning programs. Under his leadership, Grahaa Space is securing patents for onboard AI-powered video compression technology that enables bandwidth efficient streaming directly from low Earth orbit. Ramesh is also involved in various industry and leadership initiatives, including a seat on B20 India’s Task Force on Technology, Innovation, and R&D, and affiliations with Space Generation Advisory Council, The Planetary Society, and others
