Samantha Miles
Samantha Miles serves as Executive Director of Vertex, Florida Tech’s applied innovation hub, where she leads industry engagement, applied research, and workforce development. Her focus is on building practical pathways that help ideas move into application, support growing companies, and prepare talent for real industry needs.
A Space Coast native, Samantha’s career has taken her around the world, including leadership roles in Australia and across the Middle East and North Africa. She has led multimillion dollar national initiatives to strengthen higher education and research ecosystems and has built partnerships spanning government, industry, and academia. Prior to joining Florida Tech, she led global learning and consulting programs that supported more than 10,000 researchers and educators through large scale national efforts.
Returning home, Samantha is now focused on expanding Vertex as a place where collaboration drives impact and innovation is grounded in real world outcomes. She believes meaningful progress comes from strong relationships, shared goals, and a commitment to building things that last.
