Tahara Dawkins is the Director of Policy for Astroscale U.S., where she leads efforts to advance space sustainability, debris mitigation, and responsible satellite operations through policy and regulatory initiatives.

Prior to joining Astroscale U.S., Tahara served as Chief of Staff for the White House National Space Council, where she played a pivotal role in shaping U.S. space policy and coordinating interagency efforts. Additionally, she previously ran the Commercial Remote Sensing Regulatory Affairs Office within the U.S. Department of Commerce, overseeing the regulation and licensing of U.S. private remote sensing satellite activities.

Tahara is a member of the Board of Directrs for the Consortium for Execution of Rendezvous and Servicing Operations (CONFERS), serves on the Executice Board of the Patti Grace Smith Fellowship, and is an active mentor to the next generation of space leaders.

Throughout her distinguished career, Tahara has developed a deep expertise in satellite regulations, international collaboration, and the integration of commercial capabilities into national space strategies. She is a leading advocate for policies that promote responsible stewardship of space and ensure the long-term viability of Earth's orbital environment. Tahara continues to shape the future of space policy, fostering collaborations between government, industry, and international stakeholders to drive the sustainable growth of the space sector.
