Troy Morris
Troy M. Morris is Co-Founder & CEO at KMI, an in-space logistics company that provides Relocation as a Service (RaaS) for satellites, popularized as providing “tow trucks for space.” Following ISS demonstrations in 2024 & 2025 of REACCH, a multi-armed articulated end effector for generalized grappling and docking with even unprepared objects, KMI is actively planning MVP and follow-on missions in 2027 & 2028. KMI is leveraging unconventional approaches, first principle thinking, and practiced scientific rigor to develop exclusive hardware, essential software, and strategic partnerships through contracts with NASA, USSF, USAF, SDA, and commercial entities.
The future fleet of KMI owned & operated spacecraft are radically-optimized for mobility and logistics to extend & enhance a variety of vital missions from the same platform, providing external maneuvering for current, legacy, and modern assets. Through physical relocation, KMI decreases the risk to operators and assets while increasing the options for customers in the commercial, civil, and national security space areas, and overall strengthens the situation for all stakeholders in #KeepingSpaceClearForAll.
Kall Morris Inc (KMI), was established in 2019 with 2 other alumni of Northern Michigan University (NMU) where Mr. Morris graduated magna cum laude for Psychology/Behavior Analysis. Presenting and publishing technical publications in multiple disciplines, he is sought as a speaker and commenter across industry, academia, and government, having previously led multistate business units supporting critical industries at Snap-on Tools to $17 million annual revenue.
At KMI, he has overseen the growth from bootstrapping co-founders to a startup small business that returned demonstration hardware after 200 days in orbit aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Over half a dozen testing sessions, the KMI-led effort completed 170+ record-breaking capture cycles and validated critical aspects for the future fleet of radically-optimized mobility spacecraft. The demonstrations of REACCH are a public display of the functional, efficient, and effective set of solutions at KMI focused on Relocation as a Service (RaaS): a vital aspect of in-orbit servicing and space sustainability that supports End-of-Life Services, Orbit Change Maneuvers, and Active Debris Removal (ADR).
