Stay Vigilant: Protect Yourself from Event-Related Scam

SpaceCom | Commercial Space Week is committed to your safety and security. Unfortunately, as with many major industry events, scammers may attempt to contact attendees, exhibitors, and speakers with fraudulent offers or misleading information. Below are known scams and best practices to protect yourself.

Common Scams to Watch For

Scammers may pose as show organizers or third-party list brokers offering to sell "attendee lists" or “registration databases.”

We never sell or authorize the sale of attendee lists. Any email offering this is fraudulent.

Some companies may falsely claim to represent Commercial Space Week and offer “discounted hotel rates” or request credit card details.

Only book through our official housing provider linked on the Hotels page.

You may receive mail or email requests asking you to update your company information for inclusion in an “official” directory or guide.

We do not authorize any third-party print directories beyond our own official publications and mobile app.

Scammers may impersonate show staff, speakers, or vendors asking you to click links or send payments for invoices you never requested.

Always verify the sender’s email address and contact our team directly if anything seems suspicious.

How to Protect Yourself

  • Ignore and delete suspicious emails—do not click links or provide information.
  • Verify senders: Official communications from the SpaceCom team will come from @spacecomexpo.com or @ntpevents.com email domains.
  • Report scams: If you receive a suspicious email or solicitation, forward it to us at info@spacecomexpo.com.
  • Book through official links only: For housing, exhibitor services, or registration, always use links on the official SpaceCom or Commercial Space Week websites.

Hotel Scam Advisory Notice

Sham housing companies actively target trade show exhibitors and attendees with deceptive offers for hotel rooms at discounted rates. These imposters often lead to significant financial losses, hidden costs, and bait-and-switch schemes. They are NOT affiliated with SpaceCom | Space Congress or our official hotel block.

If you encounter such offers, do not provide any credit card information and report them to us immediately.
